The Running PHYSIO Camp in Tenerife is a comprehensive experience for runners and all lovers of active relaxation.

You can look forward to daily running trainings, shared breakfasts, inspiring lectures about running, the possibility of physiotherapy or massage at our clinic, walks around the island, relaxation by the ocean, and lots of fun during the evening barbecue.

The PHYSIO Camp combines movement, relaxation, community, and the discovery of Tenerife’s beauty into one unforgettable adventure.

Imagine a morning when you are awakened by the sun, warm air, and the sound of the ocean. No rain, no mud, no layers of winter clothing. Just you, running, great company, and perfect conditions. Tenerife offers everything a runner needs: stable weather, diverse elevation profiles, quality roads and tracks. Add to that the fresh Atlantic air and views that charge you up more than a morning coffee.

Every training session has its purpose. Every day brings new energy. And every evening ends with the sun setting into the ocean and a smile on your face. You won’t just run. You will get to know your body better, improve your technique, and learn how to recover wisely.

Schedule:

Day 1 – Arrival

  • Welcome of participants, introduction to the clinic and program

Day 2 – Running & Mobility/Stretching

  • Morning (9:00 at the clinic): Specific warm-up before running + 5 km run.
  • Afternoon (3:30 PM at the clinic): Exercises focused on improving mobility, range of motion, and recovery.
  • Goal: To learn proper running warm-up, improve mobility, and prevent injuries.
  • Program: After the morning run, light refreshments on the clinic terrace (fresh fruit and pastries). In the evening, a walk along the promenade or a short evening hike.

Day 3 – Speed & Strength

  • Morning (9:00 at the clinic): 2 km easy run + 6 × 200 m fast intervals + 1 km cooldown.
  • Afternoon (3:00 PM at the clinic): 80-minute strength training focused on building strength and a stable core.
  • Goal: Working on pace, gaining strength, building a solid core foundation.
  • Program: In the evening after training, a lecture on running (technique, performance improvement, injury prevention, importance of sleep and recovery). After the lecture, optional barbecue on the clinic terrace and sangria. 😉

Day 4 – Recovery & Technique

  • Morning (9:00 at the clinic): Running warm-up + 6–8 km easy recovery run at conversational pace.
  • Afternoon (3:30 PM at the clinic): 60–70 minutes of exercises focused on running technique – foot strike, posture, arm movement, and more.
  • Goal: Recovery, improving technique, elasticity, and stability.
  • Program: During the day – chill at the beach, massages or therapies at the clinic. Group trip, swimming at sunset, visiting a scenic spot, or mini golf.

Day 5 – Hill Runs & Core

  • Morning (9:00 at the clinic): 3-4 km easy run, 6 × 100 m hill sprints, 1 km cooldown.
  • Afternoon (3:30 PM at the clinic): Exercises focused on core and breathing technique.
  • Goal: Leg strength, uphill running technique, core stability, breathing control.
  • Program: Lecture on proper breathing.

Day 6 – Fartlek, Plyometrics & Final Run

  • Morning (9:00 at the clinic): 1.5 km warm-up + dynamic warm-up/plyometrics + fartlek.
  • Afternoon (3:30 PM at the clinic or on the beach): 4-6 km easy farewell run.
  • Goal: Training variability, dynamics, tendon adaptation, sharing experiences.
  • Program: Individual.

Day 7 – Departure

  • Check-out from the hotel
